Does Curt Hitch for 2024 Toyota Crolla Cross Have Capacity for 165 lb of Bikes and Bike Rack

Question:
Hi, I have a Toyota corolla cross 2024. I want to carry to e-bikes about 60lbs each with a Thule rack 45 lbs, so total weight would be 165 lbs. Do you think that Curt trailer hitch class I would safely take it? If not, what are my other options? Thank you for your advice!

Hey Michel, yes the Curt hitch part # C64DR that fits your 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross would work great to carry your bike rack and bikes that weigh 165 lb. This hitch has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity so you'd easily be under that and have no worries in that regard. What bike rack and bikes do you have?

Thank you for your reply. Apparently Toyota considers that the Cross has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 150lbs (I don't have direct reference to this, but that's what I read in multiple forums). I'm a bit nervous about this. My rack is a Thule easy fold, my ebikes are Trek Verve+3. Do you think it's still safe with the Curt hitch? Thanks again!
