Is There A Keyed Alike Option For The Hitch Lock for Kuat Bike Racks HL2?

Question:

I have a kuat bike rack and a swing arm. The swing arm goes into the trailer hitch and the bike rack attaches to the swing arm. I have a lock for the swing arm and I want a 2nd for the bike rack. Can I get a 2nd lock that uses the same key as the existing lock?

Hey Jay, thanks for reaching out. We can provide another Kuat hitch lock part # HL2 but we cannot guarantee a specific kay code with these since we don't offer a keyed-alike option.

if you need a specific key code, I'd suggest reaching out directly to Kuat. A few years ago my dad lost the key for his Kuat rack and they were able to send him an exact replacement for the key with the same code. They should be able to provide you with a lock and key to match the one you have now.

Either that or you'll have to carry two sets of keys. I can see how that would be slightly inconvenient though.

Which Kuat rack do you have?
