Would this same configuration work for my 2010 8500lb ez loader boat trailer? Trailer specs 8500lb, duel axel,6 lug,17” wheel, 5,300 axels

Yes, it will Connor! The Demco Surge Brake Actuator item # DM8104311 will indeed replace your EZ Loader boat trailer's UFP actuator. It works with disc brakes, has 2-5/16" coupler, and includes an electric lockout for backing.

The zinc coated finish on the Demco item # DM8104311 will protect it from corrosion and provide strong rust resistance. The EZ latch coupler will ensure an easy secure connection. It's made of a nylon resin so it's extremely durable and will never seize up.

I purchased this actuator about 2 years ago and have used every weekend for the past 2 summers. The quality, construction and functionality is very good. I haven’t had any real problems with the operation at all. That being said, the “drop” is very minimal and there are no serviceable grease fittings. If I had to purchase another I would look into getting one with a drop that would bring the couple more inline with the mounting bolts of the actuator so my specific trailer would sit more level. I would also prefer one with serviceable grease fittings.

This break activator works very well, I tow a 2,000 lb. trailer W/ a 9,000 lb. boat, commercial. I should have bought three disk break sets, two are adequate for short distances here in Fort Bragg, Calif., but three for any long-distance three axle loads is preferable. Bottom line: after 52 years commercial diving, boat towing, required, this unit is a very solid investment, well worth the cost.
