Question:

Hello. I bought these hubs from you a few months ango and installed them on my trailer already, they fit perfectly and are working great. The listing only has them as “pre-greased” with no additional info. What type of grease are they pre-greased with so I can get the same type for maintaining them?

Hi John!

The etrailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-2K you ordered came with the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # L11315. This comes as a 14 oz. cartridge and if you don't already have one, something like the LubriMatic Standard Pistol Grip Grease Gun # L30-310 would be good to also have handy.

If you wanted to be prepared for that pesky Mr. Murphy (of Murphy's Law), you could also grab one or two of the # BK1-150 bearing kits. This includes both bearings, both races, a seal, a spindle washer, and a cotter pin. Never hurts to have as am emergency spare.

What kind of trailer did you install these on? You getting prepared for a trip?
