Jack Recommendation for Thuro-Bilt Horse Trailer

Updated 07/07/2014 | Published 07/05/2014

Question:

On the bolt on trailer jacks triangle shape bolt on base are they all a standard size? My trailer is 7000lb GVWR . Im looking at your 5000lb bolt on side wind jack 15inch from base to top would that be the proper weight for my trailer? The jack I have now is original, bolt on triangle base and it is a Bulldog. Mine is the top wind but Im thinking the sidewind looks more weatherproof. My jack has gotten really hard to crank.

All A-frame mounted jacks like the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs # TJA-5000S-B use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. In other words, the mounting holes are a universal size and pattern so that any A-Frame jack will fit into any A-Frame jack mount. As long as your trailer has an A-Frame jack mount, this jack will fit.

The # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced would have more than enough capacity and would work very well on your Thuro-Bilt 3 horse trailer. If you need a foot plate, the #JF-99 would be a fit.
