Hey Bill, thanks for reaching out!

The hose used on the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter # 100476-120-MBS is made from thermoplastic. Thermoplastic is a blend of rubber and plastic, so it tends to be more flexible than standard plastic hoses while still being durable and able to hold its shape when molded.

It won’t be a traditional rubber hose, but the thermoplastic construction does help it stay more flexible than rigid plastic lines, even in cooler temperatures.

The hose feels like rubber, and is pretty flexible. We keep ours coiled up inside a Wever Q grill when not in use. The coldest weather we've used it in, though, was probably about 65 degrees F.

@GeneB Thanks for sharing your experience, Gene. What are you usually cooking up on that grill?

Gene B is correct, this feels and coils like a rubber hose. I will say though, I bought this for a Weber traveler grill and the male thread on the hose does not engage far enough to depress the little pin valve inside the male end. To be fair, I have tried two different branded adapter hoses and neither work, so probably a quirk with my particular grill.

@BrianP I have seen a few cases where you will need an adapter to be able to use a hose like this. The fitting on the grill will be slightly different than what's standard leading to needing an adapter to use something like this MB Sturgis or even a Camco hose.

The hose is most definitely rubber and is quite flexible even in cold weather. I use mine in the mountains during colder weather works great. I feed a grill off the main tanks of our fifth wheel.

@ShawnS Both places look absolutely amazing. Do you travel into the mountains to go to the slopes?

So I have a mixed review. The hose is exactly as stated and it seems well built. My issue is after ordering it I figured out the whole high and low pressure thing. The propane tank puts out higher pressure and the regulator reduces that down to the low pressure used by all the things inside the RV. I was looking to hook this hose into the connector under my rv so that I could run a grill or stove, etc. instead of just the small griddle in the slide out kitchen. So now I need to add a connection between the tank and the regulator to connect into to do any of that stuff. I guess my review is more of a lesson learned?

@Marc Sounds like you need part # 103537-MBS . This tee will get the set up you're looking for.
