Left-Side Trailer Brakes Lock Up When Slowing Down Using New Electric Brake Controller
Updated 07/08/2014 | Published 07/05/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2014 HandH 7x12 tandem axle enclosed trailer that I use for hauling a motorcycle. I recently had a brake controller installed on my 2004 Ram 2500. While taking it out the first time, the driver side trailer brakes are locking up just before I come to a complete stop. The driver side also locks up when going at slow speeds and tapping the brakes, such as turning a corner. Ive adjusted the brake controller and it does it at any setting. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Since the right side trailer brakes on your new HandH trailer seem to be working correctly the issue is likely to be simply a matter of adjustment to the drivers-side brake assemblies. Electric brakes like the units you referenced # 23-106 have a star-shaped adjustment wheel under the magnet. This can be used to set the braking pressure.
The linked video shows at the 4:26 mark how to do this.
