Updated 03/09/2026 | Published 03/05/2026

Question:

I need to replace a front jack assembly on my 5th wheel. The part number is 29/324 376. Can you tell me what the correct replacement would be?

Hey Lauren, thanks for the part number. I just spoke with Lippert and your 29/324 376 is a Gen 1 jack that has been replaced by the Replacement Hydraulic Jack Assembly for Lippert Level Up RV Leveling System item # LC83ED. This will replace the lead leg jack which is mounted on the driver's side of your 5th wheel trailer.

If you need the follow leg for the passenger side, you'll want the Replacement Hydraulic Jack Assembly item # LC23ED.

What year, make, and model is your 5th wheel trailer?

The unit is a 2014 Cedar Creek Silver Back 29re 5th whee. I am surprised that the replacement is 14k rated, I believe they are original 8k. The jack in the photo seems to be very different at the top than the one it will be replacing, so I need to change my hydraulic fittings?

@LaurenT That's interesting. It sounds like you need the Replacement Hydraulic Jack Assembly for Lippert Level Up System - 8,000 lbs item # LC36VR. These are being phased out but we still have a few left. Does the item # LC36VR look like your front jack assembly? You will need to swap out the fittings on the Replacement Hydraulic Jack Assembly item # LC83ED.

@JerredH The LC36VR looks like what I currently have. Is that the follow jack? I need to replace the passenger side.

@LaurenT Unfortunately the item # LC36VR is for either the driver or passenger side in the middle or rear locations. It's definitely a Gen 1 jack you have though. The only solution I have for replacing your 29/324 376 follow jack is the Replacement Hydraulic Jack Assembly item # LC23ED. We're completely sold out of the Gen 1 replacement front jacks and have been for some time now.
