Hey Roger, when flat towing a FWD vehicle you generally want the gear selector to be in drive as you wouldn't want the vehicle to potentially roll off the dolly but it's always best to consult the owners manual for exact procedure to use as well as the manual for the dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1. I pulled up the manual for your 2019 Lincoln MKC and it says to consult manual for tow dolly. Do you have a dolly already?
