Can I replace my Iota DLS-45 with the WFCO 45A or should I go 55A? 2008 Jayco Eagle

Hey Mark!
If you’re replacing an older stand-alone 45-amp converter like the Iota DLS-45, the direct WFCO equivalent would be the # WF58FR WF-9845-AD-CB, 45A.
If your battery setup hasn’t changed, staying at 45 amps keeps things simple. But if you’ve added capacity or upgraded to lithium, stepping up to the # WF38FR 55A can reduce charge time - as long as your battery wiring is 6-gauge or thicker.
If you’re still running the original wiring and single battery, the 45A is a clean swap. If you’ve upgraded the system with the thicker wiring, or don't mind doing so, the 55A is often worth it for the extra boost!
How many batteries are you running now? And do you normally feel like you need a little more amperage for charging?
Also, those campers normally have a converter/charger section inside a power distribution box. Is yours not set up that way? Or has someone rewired it to use a standalone converter/charger like the ones mentioned above?

thank you! I'll likely stick to the WFCO 45a just to make things easier. I'm def no electrician. And I'm not sure if someone changed it or not... I think I have a power box with dc fuses and stuff but I've always seen the separate charger working until it crapped out lol. thanks
