Question:
Good morning, I hope this message finds you well. I’m about to purchase a Lance Squire Lite 185 camper and I want to purchase a complete HappiJac tie-down kit. I need the frame mount tie down system, 2 spring loaded turnbuckles for the front, 2 stress guard turnbuckles for the rear and whatever other components are recommended to ensure full safety and stability. Here is the truck that I will be using with the above mentioned camper: 2004 Silverado 2500HD LS Extended Cab 2 Wheel Drive ¾ Ton 6.5 Foot Bed Length Has non-factory running boards that run from wheel to wheel Has a non-factory tow hitch Any assistance and recommendations that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and I look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Henry

Hello Henry,
Congrats on the new Lance! Bet you can't wait to be on the road to adventure.
Thank you for all the information on your truck, most helpful. For your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD you will need the HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs - Custom Bed and Bumper Mount - Front and Rear # LC182906-182971.
For the turnbuckles you will want the HappiJac Original Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Qty 4 # LC182898, unless you want to spend a little more, then I would go with the HappiJac Qwik-Load Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Qty 4 # LC182895.
The Qwik-Loads are worth the extra in my book. They make loading and unloaded way easier. Also, with the Qwik-Load turnbuckles you will be able to get some padlocks to replace the pins for some extra security, we do not have any that will work. I just pulled the parts from the warehouse, the Master Lock Covered, Solid Body Padlock - 3/16" Diameter Shackle # 131D almost works, if it was 1" long instead of 5/8" it would be perfect. So if you get locks look for a padlock that is 3/16" diameter, with 1" long shackle opening.
It is also recommended to have a rubber mat in the bed of your truck to help prevent any kind of sliding, the Westin Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat - Rubber - Black # 50-6175 will be a great fit!
I found some great install pictures that one of our neighbors (customers) sent in, I attached them so you can see what it will look like after you get it all installed.
Now for the big question, where are you going when you get things all put together? Are you a big hunter, or fisherman? I talk to a lot of guys with the in-bed campers that like to take them hunting.
