Does 7-Way Need to Be Straight Up and Down to Use Curt Echo Brake Controller

Question:
On a 26 tacoma the 7way tab is at 3 o clock not straight up will that matter?

Hey Kevin, the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 can install in your 7-way as it does not require the 7-way to be in any specific orientation. It has a strap too that helps keep it secured and in place. It sounds like yours is just rotated to the side a bit and not pointing down. Is that correct? If so, that's totally fine as the inertia sensor will still function totally normal.
