Question:
C45014 ok with Hidden Hitch receiver 1-1/4inch x 1-1/4 for 2002 VW Passat? I have the ball mount that came with the hitch. It has a 2inch rise but my camper is a bit low. Would this be ok to use in my application?

All hitches offered for your 2002 Volkswagen Passat are of the Class I type and can only be used with compatible Class I accessories. Although the ball mount # C45014 from Curt is also a 1-1/4-inch size it is a Class II ball mount and will not work in your hitch.
We do offer two Class I ball mounts with the same 5-inch rise as the part you referenced. These will work in your hitch. You can see both on the link provided; two lengths are available, including the 9-9/16-inch long # C45024 and the 11-9/16-inch # C45025.
For reference I have linked a helpful article on towing.
