Can The Firestone Air Bag Kit F2703 Be Mounted In A 2012 Ford F250 With B&W Turnoverball Installed?

Updated 02/20/2026 | Published 02/13/2026

Question:

I have a 2012 F250 King Ranch SRW 4 wd that also has BandW Turn over ball goose neck hitch mounted. Can the Firestone F2703 be mounted with the BandW and is anything special needed or any mods needed to be made?

Hi Lou!

There is absolutely no problems installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F2703 with an existing B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch in your 2012 Ford F-250. This kit was actually specifically designed to work in parallel with in-bed hitches, so you are good to go!

As to the install, I have heard on a couple occasions that the install is made a little bit more difficult when a gooseneck is already there, but it isn't too much. Just take you time and follow the included instructions and you will be fine!

What kind of trailer are you towing?

@LouS Nice! Did you convert the king pin to a goosebox style? Or do you have the B&W Companion in the Turnoverball?

I installed the Firestone system with the B&W hitch already in place. I did loosen the hitch mounting bolts to make the install easier. There was one mounting bolt on the drivers side that I found it easier to remove and install the opposite direction to make installation easier and to ensure I could tighten it properly.
