Question:
We have a Thule easy fold rack for our ebikes. Today and last year we had trouble with the clamp closest to the car. It slips. It wont connect to open the clamp. We are concerned we will not be able to remove the bike. Presently we are in Destin Florida. Our home is in Canada. What is the solution?

Hello Ruth, thanks for reaching out. Sounds like you are needing to replace the short arm clamp on your Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202. The clamp is not sold by itself so the solution for that is to get the Replacement Short Arm Assembly part # 7525491002. If the clamp is currently stuck you will need to find some way to pry it off. Doesn't really matter if you have to break it, since its coming off anyways. Then we will just need to get you a lock core and key to match your current key set. If you can share your key number with me, I can see if we have one to match.
All that said, the EasyFold rack does come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if your clamp failed, that might be something worth looking into. Did you get your rack from us originally?

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the bike rack. We purchased our a couple years ago and didn't use it a lot. We have to educate ourselves each time we used it on how to best mount our two bikes. We love the clamps especially because they can be locked. I hope to you are able to get a replacement - maybe it could be mailed to a post office in Destin with your name. It's hard when you are vacationing without a permanent address and you are in need of the part.

We are on vacation in florida for 2 weeks so ordering a part is not the solution. We should find a dealer here to replace it. Ruth
