Question:

Hello I am acquiring about item C44FR. Looks like it will fit a 2026 Chevy equinox with the same 4 pin connector. Can you confirm? Even know the site says it doesn’t fit. Could be that the site isn’t updated yet. Thanks

Hey Eric. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package item # C44FR fits the following vehicles:

2025 - 2026 Chevrolet Equinox
2025 - 2026 Chevrolet Equinox excluding Diesel
2025 - 2026 Chevrolet Equinox with factory Tow Package
2024 - 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV
2024 - 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV with factory Tow Package

According to Curt, if your Equinox wasn't originally equipped with the tow package, the Dealer will need to activate the harness once it's installed.

I've linked an installation video below we made installing the item # C44FR harness on a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox. If you skip ahead to the 1:30 mark you'll be able to see the factory connector you must have for this harness to work with your Equinox.

Hey Eric, how did things go with the Curt T-Connector on your 2026 Equinox? Did the harness connect properly to the factory plug once you verified the tow package? Your update could make it easier for others checking fitment on newer Equinox models.

@JerredH so I had to retire your harness and swap the colors. My guess is that the 2026 Chevy made some changes. I have a picture of what I did if you want to email me I can send it.

@JerredH the equinox that I worked on the harness was already live from the factory testing all 4 wires with a test light for turn signal, breaking etc and all test out good. I don’t have your email to send photos and it doesn’t allow me to send them through here.
