Do you have a way to lock the base plate and the head to the truck?

Hey Roy, thanks for reaching out, and good question. The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046 does not come out of the box with any provision for locking it to the truck. The only way I can think of to lock it would be to replace the hitch pin with a 5/8" locking pin, then replace the base pin with a 1/2" x 4" locking pin. That way you could have the base locked to the ball, and have the head locked to the base.

i think i wasn't clear enough. I was refering to the 5th wheel 25k B&W drop in bed hiitch that i just purchased. can the release handles be locked in such a way as to not be able to thur them open to release from hitch from bed. thank you. by the way really like the hitch.
