Can Furrion Chill Cube AC Work With Firefly RV Controls?

Updated 02/06/2026 | Published 02/03/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Super C with two GE ac/heat pump ducted units. They are synced with firefly system and furnace. I would like to replace them with the new Furrion ac with heat pumps. I know they come with handheld remotes that act as thermostats. What happens to my built in thermostats for furnace? Will the furnace still work off the firefly system and what can I do to keep the functionality? What do I need to purchase for install?

Hi Michael, thanks for reaching out. You can replace your GE ducted A/C heat pump units with the Furrion Chill Cube variable-speed systems # FR97TQ, but there’s no clean way to integrate those units into the Firefly control system. The Chill Cubes operate independently using their included handheld remotes, which function as the thermostats for cooling and heat pump modes. Your furnace will still work normally through Firefly, but it won’t be tied into the Furrion A/C logic anymore, so you’ll essentially be running a split system: Firefly for furnace, Furrion remotes for A/C and heat pump.

To keep everything working, you don’t need any special adapters or interface modules. You’d purchase the Furrion Chill Cube ducted units (one per zone), replace the ceiling assemblies as required, and keep your existing Firefly wiring in place for the furnace. There’s no supported way to have Firefly call for heat through the Chill Cube or vice versa without custom relays or control work, which Furrion and Firefly don’t recommend.

Are you mainly looking to upgrade for efficiency and quieter operation, or is the heat pump performance the bigger driver for the change?

Higher performance and less noise. At some point maybe tie into the inverter for one of the units.

@MichaelS Nice! Yea you will get both those things upgrading to the Chill Cube so you are definitely on the right track here.
