Question:
2017 Ram 2500, with Rambox bed. I have the factory gooseneck option. Will the Curt light weight work with the gooseneck?

Hey Mark. The Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Hitch item # C92DR is going to attach directly to a gooseneck ball like the Curt item # C60629. This gooseneck ball will install inside your Ram's gooseneck hitch and provide the attachment point for the CrossWing item # C92DR.
You will also need the Safety Chains for Curt Crosswing 5th Wheel item # C95NR. The CrossWing item # C92DR being a gooseneck adapter will require safety chains by law.
Please note that a major issue with using a hitch like the Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Hitch item # C92DR with Ramboxes is the height of the connection to your kingpin not being tall enough to clear the Ramboxes when you turn. The highest setting of the Crosswing is only going to be 21-1/2" above your bed.
What kind of pin box do you have on your trailer and does your Ram also have the factory puck system with the four holes or do you just have the gooseneck hitch?
Towing with Ramboxes typically requires a rotating pin box connected to a 5th wheel hitch mounted on industry standard rails or the factory puck system. You can't use a gooseneck adapter style 5th wheel hitch with a rotating pin box either.

I measure 22” at the top of the bed/box. I believe your hitch will clear? The trailer has a curt pin on it now. So I’m thinking that will add the height I need? I only have the gooseneck ball in my truck. Hopefully your hitch will work. If not, guess we will go another route?
