Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the safety chains for the Curt CrossWing 5th Wheel. Now, these 5th wheel safety chains will provide the nice solid backup connection between your truck and your 5th wheel trailer. This part here is designed to work with the rail mounted Curt CrossWing 5th wheel hitches. And just to show you what we're talking about if you're not familiar with the Curt CrossWing.
There's an insert that'll show you a picture of that hitch. Now, this part here will include the safety chain bracket, which is right here. And the chain assembly with the hooks on it. And to connect to the vehicle it will require you to use the Curt rail anchor loops, which are part number C16000. Those install into your 5th wheel base rails, and they'll provide an attachment point for your latch hooks.
Those we do sell separately on our website. Or they will also work with the Curt gooseneck anchor plate part number C65NR. And that's designed to fit over the gooseneck ball in your truck bed, and provide an attachment point for these latch hooks. And again, that part is sold separately also. Now, the safety chain bracket right here, this is what'll bolt onto the trailer side crosswing headpiece.
And then the chains, as we mentioned, connect to either those loops or the anchor plate. Just to show you what we're talking about, I happen to have a picture of a customer's truck bed that has the Curt CrossWing in it. And if you look closely, you can see how these safety chains are connected. On this insert, it's actually connected to the anchor loops that are in the rails. Now these parts are a durable carbide powder coat finish.
They do use a rust-resistant A-coat finish. And if you look at the chains and the hooks, they have a yellow zinc plated finish to 'em, which is rust-resistant. The total length on these, if I extend them all the way out, total length on each chain it's gonna be about 32 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the safety chains for the Curt CrossWing 5th wheel.
