Comparing Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack and Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 For Motorhome

Question:

We are looking for a 4-bike rack that we can use with a motor home as well as our SUV’s. We’re have a 2011 Dodge Durango and a 2013 Ford Explorer. We have varying bike styles, including a men’s Giant, women’s Trek, a Schwinn Beachcruiser, and a girl’s 24” mountain bike. I’m concerned about the tube diameter for attaching some of the bikes. We were also looking at the Curt platform rack, but would like to go with the most cost efficient option. If we need adapter for the Hollywood Traveler, the Curt May not be much more of a cost. What do you suggest?

The Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack part # C18087 is what I recommend as it works with all different types of bike frames without any adapter needed and can carry much heavier bikes. The Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 Bike Carrier part # HR8500 is an okay choice but it would indeed require any adapter for women's or children's bikes and it has a 35 lbs weight capacity which most likely won't work for a beach cruiser.
