Question:
Evening, I have a trailer that has hubs like this. Again just by picture. I dont know the specifics. Dexter 8-174-5UC3 What information do you need to help determine a replacement solution to a more common hub/brake/rim/tire combination. Trailer is a utility equipment trailer and is old. I dont think it has any markings visible for axle make or model.

Hey Anthony, welcome back! What you will want to get is the diameter of the spindles where the bearings and seal ride or the bearing numbers out of the hub and that would be all that's needed to see if there is a modern hub that will work in place of it. If the axle was made before the mid to late 90's though the likelihood of there being a replacement available is quite a bit lower. Do you know what size and bolt pattern wheel you'd like to go to as well?
I also attached a help article to this page that will walk you through the process as well.

I have purchased two of these. It is the standard Dayton "mobile home" 8.4-14 wheel configuration in my application. If it turns out this works for your application it is a fantastic quality product and eTrailer service is second to none.
