Today we're going to review Part Number E950. This is the Curt Safety Chain Loop for Trailer Hitch Receivers. This safety chain loop can we welded to other hitch fabrication parts to create a secure hook-up for trailer safety chains. A few dimensions on this; The overall length, edge-to-edge, is 6", the internal length is right at 5", the width on it is 2", and internal is 1-1/4". The diameter is 7/16. The capacity rating is 4,000 lbs.
Again, this is a weld-on design loop. That should do it for the on Part Number E950, the Curt Safety Chain Loop for Trailer Hitch Receivers. .

George at etrailer does NOT try to make extra money by charging too much for handling. It was a GREAT transaction all the way. GREAT product and GREAT service!! I bought a receiver for my 2011 Mini Countryman S from a company that apparently stopped their production run, so I think I got the last one that was lying in a corner of the warehouse or something. (ETrailer's Curt receiver hangs too low, exposed and ugly, so I did not buy that, but it would have been a lot cheaper.) The receiver I bought hides up behind a slot in the lower section of the bumper cover, requiring only a small hole that a receiver cap covers - very clean. It is made to a class III standard, but will never tow more than a ton on the Mini. The problem was they sent me the one without a safety chain ring - presumably for people that only need to mount bike racks and such - so I had this ring welded on by a local welder for his $50 minimum charge before I put the receiver on the car. As with any safety item like this, my hope is that it will never be tested, but it is likely at least as strong as the receiver it's mounted on. It was exactly what I needed, for a good price.
Great product! It arrived in just a few days from ordering it. It came unpainted so with just a little clean up it was ready to be welded to my two inch receiver so I had a better place to attach my trailers safety chains. I would highly recommend this for its Quality and Price. Great doing business with Etrailers!
Easily one of the best buys at eTrailer. Why make this little Jem when you can buy for so little, just thought it in your cart when shopping and forget about it. Easy to weld and I could not break it after installing it, so it's strong.

My Cargo trailer came with one of these so wanted to add to my mini dump trailer. I took a die grinder and opened the gap to get the 3/8" #7000 safety chain in the loops then welded to the tongue. Great service from E-Trailer, I have been using them for all my trailer & RV stuff this year.
Needed this safety chain loop for my motorcycle trailer and was just as advertised and delivered quickly. 5 min welding job and 5 min of spray paint made it look like a factory install. Thanks

No issues. This is an inert product. Once welded on, its there to use.
