Question:
I have a cargo trailer and need an 8’-10’ roll out canopy for it. I don’t have a roof rack and would just mount it to the wall of the trailer. Any recommendations? Black color if that even matters. Thanks

Hello Jeremy,
Thanks for reaching out. I do have a couple options that could work for what you’re looking to do, though I want to set expectations up front that one option isn’t available in black and the other depends a bit on how your trailer is built.
One easy, clean solution is the Thule HideAway Awning - Direct Mount - Waterproof # TH490018. This awning mounts directly to the side wall of a cargo trailer, so you don’t need a roof rack at all. It measures 8' 6" wide and rolls out 6' 6". It’s a great choice if you want something simple that gives you quick shade or rain coverage without a complicated install. I added an image so you can see exactly how it looks when installed and opened, I attached the video as well.
If your cargo trailer has solid wall supports and enough mounting space, you may also be able to go with a full RV-style awning. For example, if you have room for a 12' awning, the Solera XL 12V Power RV Awning - 12' Wide - 9'8" Projection - White Fade # LCV000334919-362241 would give you a lot more coverage. This type of awning does need to be mounted into structural backing, so it really depends on how your trailer is framed.
What is the size of your cargo trailer, and why are looking to add an awning? Do you take it to races, or sporting events, etc?
