Hello, could you direct me in the right direction for a front sun awning and a side rain awning for this thule hideaway awning. Part# th490018 Thanks

You have it absolutely right. The 6-1/2 foot width of the Thule HideAway Awning # TH490018 means where it will attach; the 8-1/2 foot length is how long it extends out away from the vehicle.

What you can use for a camper is the Sun Blocker G2 Front Panel for Thule 8-1/2' HideAway Awning - 7-3/4' Long x 5-1/2' Tall # TH307285 and, depending on the height you need, either the Rain Blocker G2 Side Panel for Thule 8-1/2' HideAway Awning - 6-1/2' Wide x 6-1/2' Tall # TH306515 OR 6-1/2' Wide x 7-3/8' Tall # TH307400.
