1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Kenda Carrier KR53ST20575R15 radial trailer tire mounted on this 15 inch black aluminum wheel. Now this radial trailer tire, as you can see, does come pre-mounted on this 15 inch black machined aluminum wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. So whether you're replacing a worn out setup or you're prepping a new trailer, you're gonna save time and skip the hassle of separate mounting and inflation. The low weight design of this KR53 tire is gonna help improve fuel economy on longer trips and the highway friendly tread's gonna keep your trailer tracking steady and straight. So this is gonna be ideal for both short hauls and cross country travel.
The radial construction is going to help reduce heat buildup and it's going to promote longer tread life, especially on those extended trips. As I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped on our tire, this is an ST20575R15. This is a load range D tire, meaning it has an A-ply rating. The maximum load capacity is 2200 pounds at 70 PSI. And this has a speed rating of N, indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour.
Now this included black spoke, aluminum machined black wheel is going to be rust resistant, obviously, and it's going to give you a great performance over a wide range of conditions. The measurements of our wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 15 inches. The width of the wheel is five inches. Our bolt pattern is five on four and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes.
But the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt hole sits. So to measure the bolt hole diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. Now these holes do have steel lug nut inserts and that's going to help prevent wearing down and the need to constantly retighten the lug nuts. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. The capacity of our wheel is 2200 pounds.
This does not include a center cap, but if you pick one up, you just need to make sure that it measures 3.19 inches. Great looking tire, only about 20 miles or so on the tires, so not sure how they will wear, but they way better than stock tires.
These are great looking wheels and tires! You made it easy for me to just order one package with everything. I even enjoy the bonus up in speed rating. On the web it said for 81 miles an hour, but it came with an N. for 87 mph.

They look NICE! The new aluminum wheels make my trailer look 20 years newer.
It's a trailer tire so hard to rate it but, it was not balanced so I have to slep it to a shop to have it balanced. Trailers need balanced tires too.
Haven't had them on the road yet but one would think they would come balanced but noooo. I had to take them to a shop and pay to have them balanced. I guess they think tires on a trailer don't need balancing since you don't feel the shake in the truck. Unbalanced tires destroy suspensions and tires too, even on a trailer.
