Solar Panel Expansion Kit for a Brinkley Trailer Solar Setup

Updated 12/26/2025 | Published 12/22/2025

Question:

Hi, I have a 2026 Brinkley I 294. It has a 200W panel already installed. It's expandable to 600W. I have the schematic from Brinkley for the location of the 2 additional panels. My question is, do these 2 additional panels just connect to the existing one? I have a 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller, is this sufficient for the extra panels? What will I need to purchase to bring me up to 600W? Thank you,

Hey Kevin. Thanks for the information and congrats on the new trailer. Two of the Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit item # 34282182 is exactly what you need to expand your solar setup to 600 watts. These panels pull 9.57 amps each so your 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller is going to be plenty capable of handling the extra load.

It looks like Brinkley uses Rich or Furrion solar panels. Both of these use the standard MC4 connectors, which is the same type of connector the item # 34282182 panels use. You'll use the included MC4 branch connectors to tap into your existing panel.

Depending on the distance you have to travel you'll most likely need a longer run of cables. We have the 3' Long item # 34274672 or the 10' Long item # 34276216. These are basically extension cords.

The Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit item # 34282182 comes with all the mounting hardware you will need to attach the panels to your Brinkley's roof. I recommend picking up the RV Solar Panel Installation Kit for 1 Panel item # AL96DQ. This kit includes everything you need to seal up the holes you'll have to drill to mount the panels.

Have you gotten to take your new trailer on it's first trip yet?
