Hi Jimmy!

When installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # BW96FR on your 2026 Toyota Tundra, you will not need to remove the bed. Other than cutting the hole for the ball hole and drilling holes for the safety chain loops in the bed, everything else will bolt right on. I included a link to the instructions for you to check out as well.

As a side note, this will fit a 5.5', 6.5', and 8' foot bed.

What are you going to be towing?

Hi Jimmy, A friend and I installed this hitch on a 2025 Tundra SR extended cab 6’ bed. We had it done in less than 2 hours, I don’t think I could have done it myself on account of the sliding in and alignment of the crossbars. It’s also easy to get turned around when looking at the instructions, having a pal to double check made things fly. The instructions are clear, it’s more of a me issue and unfamiliarity with the new vehicle. Installation was straight forward and easy. I suggest working on a concrete slab if possible, working on the street or gravel pad would have slowed us down. Be certain to get the rear fully up and the suspension fully extended. We lifted from the hitch with a floor jack. Getting the rear crossmember in was a little fussy and we might have deviated from the instructions, I can’t recall what we did. I think we slid the rear cross member in and then rotated top flange over the ball receiver plate after the fact. Regardless, just know that it’s a tight fit and there might be an intuitive answer when you get to that step. Gentle reminder not to turn the ball over. I suggest buying a small packet of epoxy to have on hand.

Thank you sir! The truck won’t be towing much really. Mainly just moving GN trailers around.
