Question:
2015 Grand Design Solitude Regarding the AquaFresh heated hose W01-5325. Which end of the hose has the thermostat/temp switch on it? I want to make sure I dont put that end in the heated wet bay. I DO realize that this might require gender change fittings to make this work. Im prepared for that. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hey Brad, thanks for reaching out. In regards to the AquaFresh Heated Drinking Water Hose for RVs # W01-5325, the female end is the end with the thermostat. That’s the section that needs to be exposed to the outside air so the thermostat can sense when the temperature drops and turn the heat tape on. If that end sits inside a warm, heated wet bay, the hose may never energize and you could end up with a frozen line outside.
