Question:
Hello, I have a protigy p3 controller in my 2002 z71 Silverado and it stays on with the key off. I am using the protigy adapter harness plugged into my factory access panel. How do I fix this?

Hi Rob!
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 will typically stay on for 15 minutes and then go into "sleep/power saver" mode. There does have to be zero motion on the vehicle in that time as the sensor can and will pick up anything like that and turn back on.
Try checking the controller after you park for about 20 minutes, but don't touch the vehicle when you do as that will turn it back on. Let me know if it is still on or not.

Hey Rob, did the Prodigy P3 go into sleep mode after you let the truck sit for a while? Knowing how it behaved after that test could help others with the same controller setup.
