Will the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount Work on My 2025 Mini Countryman?

Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/18/2025

Question:

I read the Yakima fullback two fit for a Mini Countryman 2025. But I dont see the information on I understand they show on this website the hub setting and fit notes indicate you need to use it as an anchors for the top hooks. Or do you have this information? Thank you

Hello Camilo,

The Yakima FullBack 2-bike # Y02634 rack will work on the 2025 Mini Countryman, even though Yakima hasn’t officially listed that model yet. The fit is the same as the 2024 Countryman. The rack uses an adjustable hub setting that positions the arms to match the shape of the hatch, ensuring the pads sit securely on the vehicle.

To install, place the rack so the padded feet rest on solid metal areas of the hatch (not glass or trim). Secure it with the four straps (two upper and two lower) and use anchor mode for the top straps, which means tucking the hooks inside the gap at the top of the hatch instead of over the edge. This prevents damage and keeps the rack stable. Once tightened, the rack should feel firm, ready to hold two bikes up to 35 lbs each.

I attached an image of the instructions, page 4 is where you find the anchor mode. The full instructions are attached as well, and even a video that will be most helpful.

What kind of bikes do you have? Do you have a specific trail you like to ride? We have the Katy Trail here in Missouri and it is always packed with riders!

Hey Camilo, how did the Yakima FullBack 2 work out on your 2025 Mini Countryman using the anchor mode for the top straps? It’d be great to hear if the fit felt solid once everything was tightened down. Your update could make it easier for others setting up the same rack.
