Question:

I want to know if these brake system parts HYD44VR. Will work on my 2024 Keystone - Cougar 355FBS Fifth Wheel on axles 6000lb 6 on 5 1/2 with 3inch tubes. I take it that is a complete kit apart from the oil? Thanks

Hey Chris, welcome back! The Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers item # HYD44VR is exactly what you need for your 6,000 lbs axles with 6 lug hubs. This kit includes four rotors, an actuator, and all the brake lines you'll need to convert your Keystone Cougar over to disc brakes.

When say everything but the oil, are you looking to set these hubs up for oil lubrication? The item # HYD44VR kit is intended for grease lube applications only. You'll need two of the Kodiak XL ProLube Kit for 5,200-lb to 6,000-lb Axles item # XLPROLUBE2440KIT to convert it. This kit includes the hub seals you'll need as well.

@ChrisH Yes, the Hydrastar item # HYD44VR comes ready to be set up with grease. What did you mean by, "I take it that is a complete kit apart from the oil"? Just trying to make sure I get all your questions answered.
