Tow Bar Brake System for a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 10/15/2025

Question:

Hi have a new jeep unlimited rubicon 2025, have an old 2008 rubicon with an older demco system for brakes as towed. I dont see same product. 2008 jeep has an led light on jeep mirror so I can see when brakes activate. It actuates the vacuum canister of the car to stop. Also has a blue cable going from front bumper to tow vehicle is a 4 pin for brake lights, and actuation signal. Is there a similar product and who, how long will it take to install? Tha ks Chuck

Hey, Chuck!

We do have set ups that would work just like that! Depending on when you had it installed on your Jeep, They may be a little bit different but the idea and concept would be the same. If you want to stick to Demco they have their Stay-IN-Play Duo part # DM86VR. You will also need part # RM-751490. This kit activates your RV's brake-monitoring system whenever the brake pedal is depressed.

What were your plans for wiring in for your lights on your Jeep?

Hoping you have a suggestion for wiring those lights on the new so as to be similar on the 2025. I see your light product, I dont see the LED that mounts on the mirror so I can see brakes activate? Also do you have an installer suggestion or camping world? Zip 90601 Thanks

@Chuck Part # DM86VR comes with a wireless monitor to indicate when the brakes are applied in your vehicle. We do have a dealer locator built into our website. It wont show all available installers but it will guide you to installers that we have partnered with. https://www.etrailer.com/installer/near-me/
