Question:
I was needing a new converter for my 96 lance squire 5000 truck camper. I seen that the pd4135k is discontinued. Can I put the pd4045ka in my camper for a replacement. My battery leads are 6 gauge or 4 gauge. Not sure, but pretty heavy gauge wire. I have no a/c unit. Thanks Greg

Hello Greg, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can use the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4045KA to replace your PD4135K.
Sounds like your wire gauge is going to be fine. 6 gauge or 4 gauge wire is what we recommend. Even for longer runs of wire like 35' or more 6 or 4 gauge would be sufficient.
You may need to enlarge your cutout slightly to fit the new converter, but other than that it will be a pretty straightforward swap out. The cutout will need to be 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall.
What kind of batteries do you have?

Hey Greg, how did the swap to the PD4045KA go in your Lance Squire camper? Did the new converter fit well after adjusting the cutout? Your update could make it easier for others doing the same replacement.
