Question:

I have a 2025 Jayco Jay Flight 160LKW Baha single axle RV trailer. The axle is a Lippert axle rated at 4400 lbs. the trailer GVWR is 4750 with 4 leaf double eye spring would it benefit me to upgrade to a 5 or 6 leaf spring

Hey Ed, there really isn't a huge advantage to going to a leaf spring that has more leaves. As long as the spring is rated properly for the axle capacity and the correct length that's as good as you can get it honestly. If you wanted to improve ride quality though a cushioned equalizer kit like the MORryde Alltrek part # MR89DR would be a great option.

Hey Ed, how did things turn out with the suspension on your Jay Flight trailer? Did you end up trying the cushioned equalizer kit to improve the ride? Your experience could help others thinking about the same upgrade.
