Question:
I own a Yakima Rack and Roll trailer. We carry two 12 foot kayaks. My wife has an adult tricycle 18 speed recumbent bike, and I have an adult 18 speed bike. Does Yakima have a bike rack to accommodate my wife’s 18 speed tricycle recumbent that can be attached to my Yakima trailer along with my bike? We are unable to Kayak any more and I am hoping that we can accommodate our desire to do some biking instead. Here’s hoping. I do not want to sell our trailer along with tour two Kayak if I do not have to.

Yes, your Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08107 is actually designed with the versatility to haul anything from kayaks to cargo baskets/boxes to bike racks as well! Just keep in mind that the total weight capacity of the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer is 250 lbs.
The only option for a roof bike rack designed specifically for recumbent bikes is the Thule Roof Mounted Bike Rack # TH558P. The great thing about this rack is that it features a pivoting fork that allows you to conveniently load the bike at a 90 degree angle and it's constructed of aluminum with stainless steel hardware for long-lasting corrosion resistance. This is confirmed to fit your Yakima square crossbars. This rack also converts to carry tandem and conventional bikes, just not at once.
So, for your 18-speed adult bike I recommend the Yakima FrontLoader # Y02103 which accommodates wheel sizes from 20-29 inches and it's super easy to use. This rack does not require removal of the front wheel as its arms simply cradle it. It features an integrated security cable to lock your bike to the rack and you can use # Y07202 to also lock the rack to your crossbars.
I have included a couple review videos for you to check out.
