Replacement Spring Bar Cover For Reese Round Bar Weight Distribution System

Question:

I have this hitch. Lost one part of it. How do I order just one part? I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s a small removable piece that keeps the spring bars in place on the trailer side. You have to remove them to unhitch and one went missing in doing so.

Hi Aaron!

I believe what you are looking for is included with the Reese Pro Round Bar Replacement Bracket & Frame Hardware Kit - Qty 1 # RP25FR. Unfortunately, that keeper tab piece (called a spring bar cover in the instructions) isn't sold separately so you would end up a couple extra pieces, but you will have the needed piece to get back on the road.

Hey Aaron, did the replacement bracket and hardware kit give you the spring bar cover you needed for your hitch? Your update could make it easier for the next person who loses that same piece.

@ScottA That is due to it being a Reese part. We took all their parts off our site due to the parent company (First Brands) having some... "issues" as of late. Just look them up online and you will see what I mean. Basically their parts are impossible to get ahold of at the moment. The original part number from Reese is 131511 and you will need to see if you can find that somewhere online. Unfortunately, that's the best I can offer at this time.
