No, Chris, the adjustable # WS97WR and # WS52ER, and all Weigh Safe pintle hitches, are only to be used in the drop position. The sliding ball mount with built-in scale is designed for safe use in the downward position only, no matter which attachment you have on it (pintle or ball).

Are you mainly needing rise for one specific trailer, or do most of your trailers sit pretty tall already? You may end up needing a pintle hitch that can be in the rise position, such as the BandW Tow and Stow Pintle Hook with 2inch and 2-5/16inch Balls - 2-1/2inch Hitches # BW77BR.

Hey Kyle! We do have the B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook with 2" and 2-5/16" Balls. If you have a 2" hitch you need #BW67BR and for a 2-1/2" hitch #BW77BR. The pintle hook capacity on the 2" version is 16k and then 21k for…
