Does the 8 inch hitch stick out farther from the truck compared to the 6 inch version?

Lucas, both the 8" drop pintle hitch with balls # WS59WR and the 6" drop pintle hitch with balls # WS82ER use the same heavy-duty shank design. The only difference is vertical adjustment, so the outward extension length is the same. No extra leverage or added distance from your truck with the 8 inch model. You'll love being able to quickly swap between pintle hitch, 2" ball, or 2-5/16" ball without using any tools.
