If I buy the PT35VR, do I still need something like the PT75NJ?

Hey Kevin! Yes, they serve different roles. The # PT75NJ is a standalone 12V compressor that actually inflates the tire. The # PT35VR, on the other hand, is a digital inflator/gauge. You still need an air source for the # PT35VR, but it gives you accurate readings, a bleed valve, and a core tool. A lot of people carry both: the # PT75NJ for emergencies on the road, and the # PT35VR for more precise checks and adjustments at home or on a trip.
If you were to only pick one, it would have to be the actual compressor # PT75NJ since that is what you'd need to air up a tire in an emergency situation.
