Will B&W Continuum Fit Food Truck Trailer With Short Tongue A-Frame

Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 09/10/2025

Question:

Would this work for a heavy food truck with a shorter tongue? 2025 Silverado 2500hd pulling a nose heavy food truck. Obviously due to cooking equipment being heavier its got a very slight lean. Have no idea of the weight of the tongue. But she makes my 2500 with 3500 springs squat! I have already upgraded the axles to overkill with tandom 8ks.

Hi Jay; the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW28FR would definitely help out with the rear squat on your truck. Odds are it is within the the tongue weight range which is 600-1,600 lbs but it would be a good idea to double check using a scale like # BTBRV27FR.

The other thing you will need to check is the measurements on your trailer tongue. Your A-frame rails need to be approximately 2" wide and 5" - 6" tall. If you have a 4" or 7" measurement it can fit but will require picking up alternate bolts from B&W. You also need a 2" space behind the coupler and the mounting area needs to be between 6" and 9". I went ahead and attached a page from the instructions below which covers fitment with some diagrams for your reference. I also attached a link with the full instructions further down on this page.

What kind of food are you cooking up in there?

Hi Jay, did you have a chance to check the measurements on your trailer tongue to see if the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System fits? I'm asking because it could help others who are dealing with similar setups.
