Hi Jane!
We can definitely get you a ball mount that will let you tow a Yakima LowRider Kayak Trailer # Y82QD with the TowSmart hitch # TS42VR on your 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime. That felt like a lot of words for one sentence. Anyway, here's what you will need:
Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 6-1/4" Rise, 7-1/2" Drop - 13" Long - 5,000 lbs # C45100
Curt 2" Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter x 2-1/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 6,000 lbs # C40004
Curt Pin and Clip for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches - 5/8" Diameter x 3-3/16" Span # C21500
Weigh Safe Hitch Receiver Locking Pin w/ Cap - 5/8" Diameter - Stainless Steel # WS54CR (optional)
The hitch on your RAV4 sits at 11" and the coupler on the LowRider sits at 17-1/2", so the # C45100 with its 6-1/4" rise will get you as close to level as you need to be (being within +/- 2" is technically level). The coupler on the LowRider is a 2" coupler and the ball I have listed will be a perfect fit. You will need some kind of pin to keep the ball mount secure in the hitch and the # C21500 will be a standard style, but you could use a locking one like the Weigh Safe option I mentioned. It is a little expensive, but it uses a barrel style key and that is the style I prefer. They are just easier to use and tend to not get jammed up and hard to turn like flat keys. Any hitch lock that fits 2" hitches will work though.
What kind of kayaks do you have?

Thanks, just what I needed! Have a trip planned out to an island on the 18th. Just ordered and it will come on the 17th. I took a guess at what I needed and have a hitch with a 4 inch rise (too low) coming soon. Thankful for trailers return policy and thankful for your expertise. I’m in an EddyLine equinox 14ft Sea kayak. Jane
