Hi Kirk; the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit # HYD34VR will fit idler hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. I'm guessing you already have electric brakes on your trailer so you have hub and drum assemblies on their now. Instead of picking up separate idler hubs to make this kit work I recommend getting the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit # HYD22FR. This includes hub-and-rotor assemblies that are one piece so separate hubs are not required.
For a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. This brake controller is simple, reliable, and won't take up space in the cab of your tow vehicle. The main unit installs behind the dash so only the control knob is visible. This gives it an OEM look as well. What tow vehicle do you have? This is the universal kit, custom wiring harnesses may be available for a plug and play installation if you can give me your vehicle information.
