Question:
Im comparing the Dexter idler hubs 8-231-50UC1 against the Deemax DE46VR for 7000lb axle. Im going to install the Deemax slip on rotor kit. There is a large price difference. Im wondering what are the advantages of the Dexter hubs for around $130 more per hub.

Hi Ryan!
I see you ordered the DeeMaxx set already, but I still wanted to get you an answer to your question.
The only real difference between the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Galvanized # 8-231-50UC1 and the DeeMaxx Trailer Idler Hub for 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Galvanized # DE46VR is the Dexter option is made in America and includes the bearings, seal, center cap, and lug nuts. The DeeMaxx hub is made over seas and does not include the bearings, seal, center cap, or lug nuts. Other than that, they are basically identical.
What you ordered will pair perfectly with the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers - 13" Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - 7K # DE46AR and you saved some money by going with DeeMaxx, which is always a good thing in my book. DeeMaxx was actually at our facility last week and their parts are super nice and durable. Yes, some of their stuff is made over seas, but they hold their manufacturers to very high standards and I'm sure you will be happy with everything! ^___^
What are you going to be installing all this on?
