Question:
Ive got a 2007 damon outlaw f53 looking to replace my existing carrier ac units . Looking for something as plug and play as possible. What do you sell and recommend. Is an inverter system an option as well

Hey Marc. I have a solution for you but we do not have any plug and play replacement options for the Carrier AC units. We found out at the end of last year the Advents we used to offer as replacements are not compatible. The plugs may connect but the functions are different. On top of that combining different manufacturer's systems voids all warranties.
Additionally, the new EPA regulations mandated the use of the new R32 coolant. It's more efficient than the old R410A units but they're not backwards compatible. No AC unit or part made this year is going to work with anything built prior to 2025.
If you have a multi-zone system that is controlled by a single thermostat, I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR45TD. This is a 15,000 btu AC unit that includes a replacement thermostat, and new air distribution box. It works with both ducted and ductless setups. You'll need the following parts for a 2nd connected AC unit:
Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit item # FR58TD
Replacement Multi Zone Controller for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Setup item # FR53TD
Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners item # FR68TD
If you are not running a mulit-zone system and your AC units are controlled individually, I recommend the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box item # FR27TD in black or item # FR59TD in white for ductless. Or the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box item # FR39TD in black or item # FR99TD in white for a ducted system.
These are Furrion's brand new Chill Cubes. They are more efficient, quiet, and have 18,000 btu units.
You can add a compatible thermostat to the ducted systems with the Thermostat for Furrion Chill Cube item # LC74DX.
We do not have any AC units with a built in inverter system.
Is your Carrier system a multi-zone setup and do you have a thermostat and/or heat?
