Question:
I’ve got a 2022 Chevy 2500HD with a 2inch receiver and tow a mix of equipment trailers and my camper. How much play is there in the adjustable channel of the # PH94FR?

Jason, good question. The Patriot # PH94FR does have a little bit of movement in the adjustable channel, like most channel-style mounts. It’s not unsafe, just part of the design. Luckily there is actually an anti rattle adjuster screw that you can use at the top and bottom of the ball mount to take out wobble in those areas.
There still could be a little bit of rattle/movement at the receiver hitch pin itself, so many folks add an anti-rattle pin or clamp like # e38FV to snug things down and quiet the ride.
With its 14K rating and dual balls 2 inch and 2-5/16, this Patriot mount is ready for just about anything your 2500HD will throw at it.
Have you tried an anti-rattle device before? They can make a world of difference for peace and quiet.
