Replacement Tire/Wheel For Trailer With 5 On 4-3/4 Bolt Pattern

Updated 09/03/2025 | Published 08/31/2025

Question:

I bought a used trailer without realizing it has two different sized wheels. I would like to purchase two new wheel/tire combinations so I have a matching set. The current tires are ST205/75 R14 and ST205/75 R15. Both load range C. The wheel pattern is 5 on 4 3/4”. 1. What other information do you need from me to find a suitable wheel/tire replacement? 2. What options do you have that will work? Thank you for your help.

Hi Michael!

The 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern is getting to be pretty uncommon, but we do have the Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-3/4 # KE42EV that would be a good option. We don't have any 14" wheels with that bolt pattern anymore and our 15" options are very limited.

Are you open to changing out the hubs so you can get a more common bolt pattern? The 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern is by far the most common and we have a lot of options for that. If you know your inner and outer bearing numbers from the hubs, I can find you the correct parts to make the swap. I would honestly go this route. It will make finding a replacement in the case of an emergency significantly easier.
