Hi Robert!

We currently have two covers for 40 pounds propane tanks. They aren't plastic or really the hard style, but they are a heavy-duty vinyl material and figured I would still mention them.

Adco RV Propane Tank Cover for Dual 40-lb Tanks - Diamond Plate # 290-2714
Adco RV Propane Tank Cover for Dual 40-lb Tanks - White # 290-2114

What are these tanks on? We don't really see the 40 pound tanks very often.

Hey Robert, Did you find that the heavy-duty vinyl covers worked for your 40-pound propane tanks? I'm curious because it could help others with similar needs.

No, the vinyl ones are getting destroyed, so what I've done is put a 40lbs vinyl cover on my tanks & slid a 30lbs plastic cover over the top. I've cut holes in the top of the vinyl so I can turn the propane on and off. The 40lbs takes are around & I'm surprised no one has come out with a plastic version. Thank you, Robert

@RobertS I just did a lot of research and couldn't find anyone currently making 40 pound hard covers (or previously for that matter). I found people asking about them going all the way back to 2010, so I am shocked there still aren't any available. I know this is not the solution you are looking for, but everyone seemed to take two 30lb covers and basically put them together. One does need to get sacrificed and then bolted or rivetted onto the other, but that looks to be the only way to get 40lb tanks fully covered. As a side note, I am going to be bringing up the lack of a 40lb propane tank cover to our product development team. They may be able to get something going. We may have something better in the future.
