Hi Jan!

We do indeed have replacement cover strips for Thule WingBars. It does only come in 59" strips, so you will have excess that will need to be cut off, but you will want the Replacement Cover Strip with Pattern for Thule WingBar/AeroBlade/AeroBlade Edge Cross Bars - 59" Long # TH69JH. If you also need the lower strip, you will want the Lower Rubber Cover Strip for Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH79VW.

What happened to the original cover strips?

@JanT That's surprising to hear. I typically hear people saying they are hard to get out of the cutouts. This will be a fairly dumb question, but did you make sure it was fully snapped/pressed in before setting off? What do you have installed on the rack? And lastly, is what you have installed clamped around the crossbar or is it installed in the T-track?

@LazerS Yes, it was fully snapped in and was fine for a long while. Until it wasn't. I had kayak holders on the racks but removed them a while ago.

@JanT Weird. Wonder if maybe they got worn out or something and that caused it. New ones should stay in, but as I'm sure you will, keep an eye on them!
