Will the Gen-Y Phantom XT 2-Ball Mount Work w/ a Weight Distribution Hitch?

Wondering if this would work well for my 30foot Airstream? Towing with a Ram 2500 and Equalizer WD hitch. Tongue weight about 1k but may be a little higher as these things go! and a max of 8800Lb. Wanting to keep my W/D but add some sort of dampening to avoid shocks to the Airstream. Thanks!

Hey Rob. I checked with Gen-Y and got this back, This PHANTOM-XT Hitch (item # GY52VB) is NOT recommended to be used with weight distribution.
As an alternative, I recommend the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank - 2" Hitches item # GY54FR with a 6-1/2" Drop/Rise. It has a similar torsion flex system to cushion road shock.
The Gen-Y item # GY54FR shank is compatible with Equalizer weight distribution hitches like item # EQ90-00-1000. The shanks have the same 1-1/4" spacing between bolt holes.
What size hitch receiver do you have on your Ram 2500? We also have the Gen-Y item # 325-GH-1102 that fits a 2-1/2" receiver
